Today, society has many voices in the limelight, but they are not all speaking IN the Voice of God. Although politicians claim they are guarding and battling to protect the walls, some of us are voicing to be heard and to protect those within the walls. But because some are screaming louder doesn’t mean the small still voices have lesser value.
A shade tree opinion is powerful enough to initiate a change; the type of change that will make us accountable for our personal decisions as we partake with the people we interact with daily.
Within the walls, we need to recognize and expose Godly behaviors; then the blessings of God will have no choice but to follow, for God cannot lie. Children learn patterns and emulate behaviors, and in many cases, they adopt their parents’ image.
Within the walls, there is a responsibility for every parent to allow their child to see God by acknowledging Jesus Christ in all that they do. Otherwise, within the walls will be the trickling effect of a nation without God. Even if we educate the masses and fall short of God’s mercy, what would be accomplished?
As long as adulterous acts, drugs and violence in music videos are exalted, we fall short of God’s glory within the walls.
As long as young women continue being seduced and beguiled within the walls, signs of weakness are manifested.
As long as married men continue to disdain their wives by cheating, and women continue to welcome their behaviors, the blessings of God are forfeited.
As long as teens and tweens keep having babies, the premature illness will continue to be recycled within the walls.
As long as the rivers continue to receive the blood of innocent unborn children and graves continue to receive the dead from false witnesses and crimes against each another within the walls, how can God’s blessings be released?
As long as the political courts continue to allow trickery with deceptive words from those whose goal is to pull apart the symbols that acknowledge God and continue to pass backward laws, our nation will continue to lose value.
As long as our nation is being manipulated, self inflicted, and neglected from within, one should question, how does the shelter of protection of the walls secure us at all?
As long as sins remain uncovered without the blood of Jesus, our nation will continue to be terrorized within.
If within our walls, we begin to demonstrate the Lord, teach his values, and promote his morals and Godly behaviors then we will flourish like children of God.
Doctors’ children usually grow up to become doctors; preachers’ children have a tendency to become preachers, and even children of attorneys more than likely study law. We have one Lord to mimic; let us pick up the torch to be like God.
You can refuse…
The tempter is the person you relinquish your power to when you chose to listen and be taken captive with his lies. Many of you have made the mistake of trusting your rival as if he or she has your best interest at heart, but the opposite happens to be a hidden agenda.
While some of you are obsessed with exterior beauty, lucrative wealth, and having a lifestyle of status, in the pursuit of these elements, many of you are forced to alienate yourself from the purpose you were created. It is our inheritance to walk with God. In the scripture, Isaiah 41: 8 (it is written)…Abraham my friend. What an honor for God to call him friend.
Satan, God’s rival, won’t let anything stand in his way to deceive you to keep you from achieving God's purpose, the thing you were born to do. If it means showering you with worldly riches and pleasures to cut off your power, he considers you a worthy challenge. “What power?” You ask. Your power is the ability to allow God to inhabit you, and walk continuous with him in faith, through grace.
You see, we have the power to refuse our tempter, no matter what shape or form it appears. Adam and Eve had the power to refuse, but simply didn’t know how to use their authority. God had given them power over everything that creep and crawl. Each of us has a tempter in our life to conquer, for surely that tempter is more than determined to defeat us.
Every since the Garden of Eden, Satan lies to keep you from refusing him, Genesis 3:4-6 And the serpent said unto the woman…”Ye shall not surely die:" ...she took of the fruit thereof, ...and did eat, ...and he did eat. God put enmity between woman, and the devil. Satan hates us and he hates God, he is determine to defeat us, but we can make him the liar that he is, by not yielding to temptation.
Jacob’s son, “Joseph,” (the dreamer) when tempted by his master’s wife to lay with her; Genesis 39:7-8 he refused the tempter. Eventually, his purpose to came to pass, and he interpreted the King’s dream, and God gave him the plan to preserve his family, Israel, and Egypt from years of famine; he fulfilled his purpose and walked in his destiny.
Samson, when tempted by Delilah to tell where his strength was... gave in to her worthless lies of love and revealed his secret; Sadly, God’s Spirit departed from him and he became weak and helpless as a natural man; he was taken captive and mocked. But because of Samson’s prayers, he found mercy and grace in the eyes of God, and God’s Spirit was restored back to him. In the end, Samson accomplished his purpose, which was to triumph over God's enemies.
When the tempter came to Jesus, he said, “All these things I will give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me.” Then saith Jesus unto him, “Get thee hence, Satan; for it is written Thou shalt worship the Lord God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus refused the tempter; and for his obedience, …every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Philippians 2:10 “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; St. Matthew 17:5
We have the incredible power within us the power to refuse the tempter and to please God. By resisting our tempter, and not yielding to temptation, we will find our crowns of honor in completing the charge that God has purposed.
RESISTING EVIL Part 2
In the prayer Jesus taught his disciples, He said, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Luke 11:4 This in itself becomes part of our conscious recall for our benefit. Although His amazing grace is powerful, it is not an excuse for us not to try to resist evil. Look at it this way, His GRACE is the POWER, whereby GIVEN to us To RESIST evil.
The lack of guilty conscious has almost been eradicate from many minds and hearts and replaced by society endorsed rule to accept each individual, AS IS. As long has negative behaviors are labeled with medical illness reference and terminology, they are deemed to have a place in our society. “Sex addiction,” “Porn addiction,” “Same Sex Marriage,” “Sex slaves,” “Habitual liar,” “Habitual burglar,” “Unfaithfulness” “Fornication,” and “Adultery,” just to name a few.
Since many have failed to resist evil, perverted behavior have lead many astray from natural of normal feelings or tendencies. And because of this, all types of clubs are created, like wife swaps, to market and solicit to the burning hunger of lust that resides in our society. Therefore, for those who refuse and fail to resist evil, has a very high chance of becoming an, “AS IS.”
